HMRC has initiated its automated end of year PAYE reconciliation process for the tax year 2013-14. P800 tax calculations will be sent out to those who have paid too little or too much in mid September. Those who have overpaid tax are likely to receive a cheque within 14 days upon the successful submission of a P800 tax calculation. HMRC estimates that 85% of PAYE will have paid the correct tax for 2013-14 and will thus not receive a P800.
