Businesses in demand for IT
Businesses in demand for IT skilled contractors on a temporary basis have hit its highest in nearly 3 years.
November 2013 proved the most optimistic four-week period for IT contractors since March 2011. When demand levels were at 65.0, last month was closely behind with Recruitment & Employment Confederation scores at 64.1.
Usual trends of a slowdown in the contract market during the build up to Christmas seems not to be the case this year.
Computer People’s Niall Cook explained the reason for this was because the unexpected return in economic confidence has left IT playing catch up with what end-users’ clients want.
This provides promising reading for IT contractors with a continued rise in demand predicted for the first quarter of 2014.
